The Rules of the Room

By browsing this site, downloading what we publish, subscribing to Crim's Class, sending a booking inquiry, or submitting a story, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

If you are under eighteen, use this site with a parent, guardian, or teacher who agrees to these terms on your behalf.

Our free curriculum, lesson materials, reading lists, and newsletters are made for teachers, families, and community organizers, so you may download them, print them, and use them with our kids in classrooms, homes, churches, libraries, and community programs at no cost.

Please keep our name and credit on anything you share, and pass the materials along free the way you received them.

Do not sell our materials, charge admission to them, put them behind a paywall, or fold them into a paid product or training you profit from without written permission from us.

Do not edit our materials in a way that changes their meaning and then present the result as ours, and do not use our name, logo, likeness, or writing to suggest that we endorse a person, company, campaign, or candidate when we have not said so.

Unless we say otherwise, the writing, photography, video, design, curriculum, and books on this site belong to Ernest Crim III and Crim's Class, and the permissions above are the extent of what we grant. Everything else stays with us.

For reprints, licensing, media use, or anything beyond ordinary classroom and community use, write to info@ernestcrim.com and ask.

When you send us a story, a message, or a file, you keep ownership of it, and you give us permission to read it, store it, and consider whether our team can take it further. Sending it is not permission to publish it, and we will ask you first and get your agreement for any specific public use.

Please send only what is yours to send, only what you believe is true, and nothing that would put another person in danger. We may decline, remove, or stop responding to submissions that are abusive, unlawful, or made in bad faith.

How we handle what you send is described in our Privacy Notice.

A booking inquiry starts a conversation and is not a confirmed engagement until we agree on the details in writing. Book orders and merchandise are handled by the retailer or store you buy from, and their terms, shipping, and refund policies apply to that purchase.

Donations to Crim's Class support our programs, and we will tell you plainly where the money goes when a gift is tied to a specific fund.

We link out to retailers, partners, press coverage, and social platforms we do not run, so once you leave this site, that site's terms and privacy practices govern your visit, not ours.

We publish this site and its materials as they are, and while we work to keep them accurate and available, we cannot promise the site will always be online, error free, or suited to every particular purpose.

Nothing here is legal, medical, financial, or professional advice, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from relying on this site or using our materials.

We may update these terms as the work grows, and when we do, we will change the date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
